Ingredients
For the broccoli beef -
1 cup of Broccoli florets
8 oz Boneless Flank Steak, sliced into strips
1 Tsp of Baking Soda
1 Tsp of Cornstarch
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 Tsp of ginger, minced
1 Tsp of Mother of Everything seasoning, Mom Cave Foods
1/2 Tsp of Exotic Steak seasoning, Mom Cave foods
1 Tsp of Sesame oil
Salt
1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive oil
1 Pineapple
For the sauce –
2 Tbsp of Ketchup
1 Tbsp of Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp of Oyster Sauce
2 Tsp of Brown sugar
1/3 cup of Beef or Chicken stock, Boiling Hot
1/2 Tsp of White pepper
1/2 Tsp of Mother of Everything seasoning, Mom Cave Foods
2-3 Garlic cloves, minced
1 Tsp of ginger, minced
Directions
Step 1
Start by slicing the flank steak into thin strips, vertically. Then place the steak strips into a small bowl along with 1 Tsp of Baking soda, 1 Tsp of cornstarch, 1 Tsp of Mother of Everything seasoning, 1/2 Tsp of Exotic Steak seasoning, 1 Tsp of sesame oil, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1/2 Tsp of minced ginger and a sprinkle of salt. Mix all the ingredients together until well incorporated, then cover the top with plastic wrap and set aside to marinate for 20 minutes.
Step 2
To prepare the sauce, add 2 Tbsp of Ketchup, 1 Tbsp of Oyster sauce, 1 Tbsp of Soy sauce, 2 Tbsp of brown sugar, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 Tsp of minced ginger, 1/2 Tsp of white pepper, 1/2 Tsp of Mother of Everything seasoning, then add 1/3 cup of boiling chicken broth into the small bowl, stir together to combine and set aside.
Step 3
Now, add a medium-sized pot with water and 1 Tsp of salt to medium heat and allow water to boil, then add 1 cup of broccoli florets into the boiling water, cook for 1 minute then transfer to a bowl with ice water for 2-4 minutes, remove and let the broccoli rest on a paper towel to absorb the water. Now, Put a medium-sized pan or wok on medium heat with 1 Tbsp of Olive oil, allow the heat to absorb for 3 minutes, then add the pre-marinated beef into the pan and sear for 3-4 minutes then add the broccoli, pour the sauce on top and mix to coat beef and broccoli with sauce, turn the heat up to medium-high and allow the sauce to thicken, stirring occasionally for 4 minutes, then remove from heat.
Step 4
Cut 1 pineapple straight across, creating halves, and set aside 1 half. With the other half, cut around the edges and began removing the inside of the
pineapple with a spoon. Add rice to the pineapple, then top with broccoli beef and enjoy!
