Indulge in the vibrant flavors of summer with the Saffron Sunshine Salad featuring heirloom tomatoes and creamy burrata. This delightful salad captures the essence of the sun-kissed season, bringing together the rich colors and tastes of ripe heirloom tomatoes, fragrant basil, and the delicate allure of our saffron. The combination of flavors creates a harmonious dance of tangy, luscious, and creamy sensations.
For the Salad -
1 cup of spring mix lettuce, washed and dried
1/4 cup of red tomatoes, diced
1 Green heirloom tomato, sliced
2 Tbsp of basil, chopped
For the Saffron Burrata –
8 oz Burrata ball, 2 pieces
2 Tsp of Saffron, Mom Cave Foods
2 Tbsp of Extra virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp of Balsamic glaze
On a large plate, add 1 cup of spring mix lettuce, and 1/4 cup of diced tomatoes. Then, start to slice 1 green heirloom tomato from the bottom, straight across. Place the heirloom tomatoes on the lettuce, then place 2 burrata balls on top. Proceed by adding 1 Tsp of saffron to each ball, drizzle 2 Tbsp of olive oil, and 1 tbsp of balsamic glaze overtop the saffron burrata.
Top with 2 Tbsp of chopped basil, a sprinkle of salt, and serve with a side of toasted baguette slices, then enjoy!
